Abstract

Kedonganan Beach Tourism Area is one of the leading tourist attractions in Kuta District, Badung Regency. It has famous cuisine and typical foods from processed sea fish (sea food) so that many domestic and foreign tourists visit Kedonganan. However, tourist visits to the Kedonganan Beach Tourism Area, either foreign tourists or domestic tourist, have decreased the percentage of growth during the last 4 years. when they travel, they will keep various kind of memories and experiences that inherent in their minds,  either it is a pleasant or unpleasant experience that will not be forgotten. To find out the tourist experience of tourists, it is necessary to do research with the title “Memorable Tourist Experience towards Culinary Tourism in the Tourism Area of Kedonganan Beach, Kuta District, Badung Regency.

This study uses a quantitative approach, data collection is completed by observation, interwiew, questionnaire, and documentation method. The questionnaire was distributed to 100 respondents with a composition of 52 domestic respondents and 48 foreign respondents. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and exploratory factor analysis techniques to analyze and describe the results of the study.

Based on the results of the study, it shows that each of the five new factors formed from the experience of traveling domestic and foreign tourists when having a culinary tour to the Kedonganan Beach Tourism Area. In domestic tourists, the most dominating factors is New Experience, Uniqueness, Relaxation & Enjoyment with eigen value 4,160 and variant value 27,731%, while for foreign tourists, the most dominating factor is Pleasant, Product satisfaction with eigen value 6.311 and variant value 37.124%
